Cozy Powell is one of the most prolific drummers in the business. His CV runs like a Who's Who of rock. He has played with Black Sabbath, Rainbow, Whitesnake, M.S.G. and the ELP spin-off Emerson, Lake, & Powell. Then there are those legendary guest appearances - with everyone from Donovan to Roger Daltrey, Jack Bruce to Jeff Beck and Gary Moore to Brian May.THE DRUMS ARE BACK was recorded in RAK STUDIOS LONDON. The CD has 10 tracks. Eight of the tracks are instrumentals and the other 2 tracks are vocal tracks, sung by GERRY LANE.
The songs "I WANNA' HEAR YOU SHOUT" and "Cryin' " were both written by Gerry Lane.

This is a blues/rock album. It has a great mix of styles, packed full of original songs, gravelly vocals,raw powerful and emotive guitar playing…….it’s blues/rock, with a Rock Ballad and Country/Rock song thrown in for good measure.

On "Till The End Of The Line" Gerry Lane goes back to his melodic hard rock days, as he calls it the
"hair days"

Seven in your face, ass kickin' hard rockers,
two rock ballads:
the evocative song about New York titled:
"I've Cried The Blues (for New York City)
the very powerful title track called:
"Till The End Of The Line"
and an instrumental track dedicated to the island of Gran Canaria called:
"La Isla"
